I spent a good hour last night looking for video of Snoopy on YouTube. The clip of him hanging off the side of the dog house all mad and then moping on top of his home, just listlessly rolling around.

That is how I feel. If I could fling myself on my bed for a good mope without looking like a teenager I would.

Did you ever watch that cartoon short “The Snowman”, when you were a kid? The one with no words and the motorcycle and that haunting, tearjerky song? That’s what I had in my head at the end of the game.

The Steelers out of the playoffs this early just doesn’t FEEL right. Even to a fan of one of their conference rivals.

  2. So sorry. My Stepdad feels the same way.

That always made me cry. Thanks, (sob) Holly.

The snowman (for those who don’t know what we’re talking about, and if you’ve got 25+ min to blow):

    So sorry, TSW.

  4. Holly says:

Oh, man, I can’t even hear that song without sobbing.

  5. Megan says:

I hear you, TSW. I have never felt Heinz Field deflate like it did with that Jags’ FG.

How sad for Big Ben :'( and the rest of us poor Steelers fans.

  6. And now I have something that makes me feel better –

a stomach punch of a game.

draft should focus on o-line, maybe some more depth at defensive end. Give Ben credit for ‘manning’ up and taking the blame. 3 picks was pretty bad, but he needed help.

Can’t even tell you how sad I was at the conclusion of this game…there were no words. The thought that the season is over ALREADY makes me crazy! And BOTH of my teams, the Steelers and Bucs lost back to back…very very sad weekend…I guess there’s always next season–its just too far away! :(
