Previously on Ladies…

Hi. My name is TheStarterWife and I write the Ladies Quarterback Fantasy Football update each week. This is probably one of the least popular columns we run – even among the Ladies – but still here I am plugging along. And since no one really reads this update, no one is going to notice what happens next…

Five touchdowns before he went out with injury! (Don’t worry, Ben is fine. Came back for a few snaps to get past it.)

As always he was mobile outside of the pocket (YOU CANNOT TACKLE BIG BEN! HE’S TOO BIG! IT IS RIGHT THERE IN HIS NAME!) and threw a perfect game. (Charlie Batch is the one who tossed the INT, so don’t let the box score throw you.)

Sure this was the bigger match up, but really, it was a tense regular season game in which neither team tipped their hand. The Patriots now look beatable. Manning made mistakes. Yawn. Wake me when they go for the jugular in the playoffs.

Andrea actually wants to claim another “QB” for her team…

Tony Romo put up another good week for me, but the real Hottie Star was Marshawn Lynch. Not only did he have 150+ yards and a TD, but he had a PASSING touchdown. Woo hoo! When JP Losman is the starting QB, you gotta do whatcha gotta do.

Dreadlocks? Hot indeed.

Still my column that no one reads? Awesome.

Two goals in a 5-0 shut of the Devils.

  1. metschick says:

Woo – hoo, my team is back to their losing ways.

  2. ladyandrea says:

I read this column, TSW! I DO!

  3. Holly says:

    *quietly grinding teeth*

  4. Bullet! Bullet! Bullet! says:

I never knew what this column is about, but you hooked me with Ben today. Is it Friday yet? I’m ready for the Foodie column.

  5. Pam/Shorty says:

Sorry TSW, it’s not personal, but I hate this column. It’s like the fantasy football section of Sports Illustrated that I always skip.

And yes, Sid was awesome last night. As was Petr. ::sigh::

  6. Oh the things I wanted to do to Ben last night… can keep your Bradys and your Mannings, we like our QB just fine in Pittsburgh.

  7. Pam, I know that you’d be surprised to hear this, given my team’s 0-9 record, but I also skip SI’s Fantasy section.

  8. SA says:

I read this post too and am throughly pissed that despite having the most points in the league I’m FIFTH! Damn players not getting enough points for me to win. Why have you if you’re not gonna get me points? Huh?

You know what does look good though? Brady 9-0. Woo Dreamboat!

  9. Pam/Shorty says:

Im sure their fantasy stuff is out of date by the time it prints anyway…and I should also mention that I skip articles that are more than 2 or 3 pages, since I dont like to read…

  10. kcmichelle says:

I read it for the pictures – thanks for Sid!

  11. Pam/Shorty says:

KCMichelle, is that a solid black cat wearing a Hello Kitty costume? If so…fantastic!

  12. tiff says:

SA – genius move in the Brady pick. I love that pick so much I want to take it behind the middle school, and get it pregnant! (Or at least, let him.)

  13. Godfather says:

I read it. I haven’t figured out how you all score it, but I read it nonetheless.

  14. Brian says:

I always read it but I’m not into fantasy men. ;)

Besides, the ‘real’ sport season started last night with college basketball and UConn kicks off soon. Now there’s a fantasy.

It would be so cool to have UConn play in a BCS bowl.

  15. Godfather – At the end of the season, look for a full statistical analysis of hotness to wins.

Thank you to all of you who say you read the column.

  16. Amanda says:

Hottie Adrian Peterson gains the most single game rushing yards in NFL history and we get no half-naked photo of him?

  17. SA says:

Tiff-thank you. And I picked 8th. I’m just glad for all the Brady hate the rest of the ladies have.

  18. DougOLis says:

I do not read this column. I just skip to the bottom and write.

Is it safe to assume that SA will now go undefeated with Tom Brady at QB? This week seemed like the best chance for him to go down and she still won.

Woohooo Andie! Marshawn! He’s solid, cause there ain’t nothin better than solid.

  19. Clare says:

Yeah, yeah, everybody pat SA on the back ’cause she took Il Dreamboat, but let me tell you something: An O-line of Joseph Addai, TO, and my close personal friend* Plaxico Burress is nothing to sneeze at.

    * my close personal friend = we were in opposite quadrants of a revolving door once.

  20. Yostal says:

The cleft-chinned mad man rides again!

  21. Texas Gal says:

I always read- I just have nothing of substance to contribute, beyond “WOOOO! BRETT FAVRE IS HOT!” and “COWBOYS RULE!!1!!11!”

Five pictures of Ben in one day? TSW is loving this.

  22. thistlewarrior says:

TSW-I always read it; but mostly for the lovely pics! Esp. of Ben…

    *hangs head in shame*

  23. I read this thing religiously! Gotta support the Deadspin Lil Sis’.
